Mobile app UI/UX design that earns the second open, not just the first install
We research, design and test mobile app interfaces for Android and iOS, from user flows to a developer-ready design system. It suits founders, product teams and agencies whose app has weak onboarding, confusing navigation or falling retention, and new products that want to avoid those problems.

Design decisions that show up in your retention
Most people judge an app in the first minute. They decide whether it feels trustworthy, whether it asks too much too soon, and whether they can do the one thing they came for.
After that, small frictions decide whether they come back: a slow login, a cluttered home screen, a checkout that hides the delivery cost until the end.
Mobile design is not desktop design shrunk down. Thumbs reach some zones of the screen and not others, attention is interrupted, connections drop, and people use apps outdoors in bright light with one hand. Good UI/UX work starts from these constraints and from what your users are trying to get done, before anyone chooses colours.
We design interfaces as part of a wider delivery team that also builds apps, so a screen is judged against what developers can build on Android and iOS, not just how it looks in a presentation. Our companion article on UI/UX mistakes that hurt retention lists the problems we fix most often.
Typical starting points for design work
Clients come to us with one of these situations.
New product, no design yet
We turn a concept into flows and screens you can show investors, test with users and hand to developers.
Low sign-up completion
Registration, permissions and verification steps get reordered, shortened or delayed until the user has seen value.
Users leave after the first week
We study where they stop, then fix navigation, empty states, reminders and the core loop.
Old interface, new platform rules
Apps built years ago may ignore current Android and iOS conventions and accessibility settings.
Two platforms, one brand
We decide what stays identical and what should follow each platform, which suits Flutter builds.
Complex workflows
Healthcare, finance and logistics apps with many roles need careful information design. See healthcare apps for an example.
Why trust this team with your build
For Mobile App UI/UX Design, projects live or die on maintainability. Here is what stands behind the delivery.

For Mobile App UI/UX Design, engineering is planned together with SEO, speed and reporting, so what ships is findable, fast and measurable rather than just finished.
Recognised work
Led by Junaid Tariq, a National Level Award Winner in Digital Marketing who also builds WordPress plugins, CRMs and web applications. See the about page.
Transparent by default
A written scope and milestones before build, code and documentation handed over at the end and hosting or domain accounts kept in your name.
Onboarding, navigation and the first-run experience
Account creation, location, notifications, camera and contacts permissions all compete for the first minute.
We reorder these so the user does something useful first, and the system prompts arrive at the moment they make sense, with a sentence explaining why.
Bottom tab bars suit apps with three to five equal destinations. Drawers hide features and reduce discovery. Search-first layouts suit catalogues.
An empty order list can invite the first purchase. A timeout message can tell users what to do next.

A design process that reduces rework
Each stage ends with something you can review and approve.
- Research and goalsStakeholder interviews, competitor review, analytics review if the app exists, and a short survey or call with real users.
- User journeys and information structureMaps of who does what, in which order, and a navigation model that fits the number of features.
- WireframesLow-fidelity screens to agree layout and flow without arguing about colour.
- Visual design and design systemTypography, colour, spacing, icons and reusable components, with dark mode and accessibility states.
- Prototype and usability testA clickable prototype tested with five to eight users from your audience, with a written summary of findings.
- Developer handoffAnnotated files, asset exports, interaction notes and a working session with the build team.
Design package contents
The final package depends on the scope you choose, but these are the main parts.
- Research summaryFindings, user types, assumptions we tested and decisions that follow.
- Flow diagrams and sitemapThe structure of the app in a form stakeholders can read in minutes.
- High-fidelity screensAll key screens for both platforms, with states for errors, loading and empty data.
- Interactive prototypeA tappable version for testing and stakeholder buy-in.
- Design systemComponents, tokens and usage rules in Figma, kept ready for your developers.
- Accessibility reviewContrast, text scaling, touch target sizes and screen reader labels checked against recognised guidelines.
- Handoff specificationSpacing, behaviours and edge-case notes. We also support the build through app backend and API development when data is involved.
- Post-launch reviewA session on analytics and feedback once real users arrive.
Design tools and standards
We use industry-standard tools so your team can take over at any point.
Purpose | Tool or standard | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
Interface design | Figma | Shared files, comments and developer inspection |
Prototyping | Figma prototypes, plus code prototypes if needed | Realistic testing before development |
Android conventions | Material Design guidelines | Familiar patterns for Android users |
iOS conventions | Apple Human Interface Guidelines | Native feel and smoother App Store review |
Usability testing | Remote sessions, screen recordings, short surveys | Evidence over opinion |
Analytics | Firebase, GA4 for app, session tools | Find where users drop off |
Inputs that move scope and cost
A tidy ten-screen app can take longer than a thirty-screen one if the ten involve payments, many roles or unusual interaction.
We price after a short scoping call, and the factors are: number of user types, number of unique flows, platform coverage, level of research, motion and custom illustration, and whether you need a full design system or only key screens.
An app serving English and Urdu users needs right-to-left layouts, font choices and testing that go beyond translation. Brand work such as logo and identity is a separate engagement unless you already have one to build on.
If you still need to decide on the budget for the whole project, our article on app development cost in Pakistan lists what changes the total.
Cases where design work should wait or shrink
If you are testing a rough idea with a single feature, a lean prototype and a handful of user calls will teach you more than a polished system.
If the app is slow, crashes or loses data, new screens will not help.
We say so after a short review, and refer you to engineering work such as app maintenance and support.
We agree measures at the start, for example sign-up completion, task success in testing, time to complete the main action and early retention.
We do not promise percentage lifts, since they depend on traffic, product and market.
Quality gates before handoff
Every design package passes these checks.
- One-handed reachPrimary actions sit in the thumb zone on common screen sizes.
- Text scalingLayouts survive larger system font settings without clipping.
- Contrast and colourInformation never relies on colour alone, and contrast meets recognised guidelines.
- Slow network statesSkeleton loaders, retry buttons and cached content are designed, not improvised.
- Language and directionEnglish and Urdu variants, including right-to-left layouts where needed.
- ConsistencyEvery component comes from the design system with documented states.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers before you get in touch.
Do you design for both Android and iOS?
Yes. We design a shared structure and adapt components to each platform's conventions where users expect it, such as navigation patterns, dialogs and typography. For cross-platform builds we agree the shared rules early.
Can you improve an existing app instead of starting again?
Yes. We begin with an audit of flows, analytics and reviews, then fix the highest-impact problems first. A full redesign is only recommended if the structure itself is the issue.
Will you test with real users?
Yes. Testing with five to eight people from your target audience reveals most major usability problems. We can recruit through your customer list or by arrangement, and we deliver a summary with clear recommendations.
Do I get the Figma files?
Yes, the files and the design system are yours. We organise them with developer handoff in mind, so another team can build from them.
Do you also build the app after designing it?
If you want us to. Many clients take design and development together, but you can use our design with another team. See our app development services for the full range.
How do we start?
With a call about your users and goals, then a scoped proposal. You can reach us here and send any existing screens, analytics or competitor examples.
