Laravel ecommerce development for stores that need to work your way
We design and build custom online stores on Laravel, with checkout, catalogue, inventory, payments and courier logic written around how you actually sell. It suits businesses whose model does not fit Shopify or WooCommerce without painful workarounds, and teams that want to own their code.

- Checkout, pricing and stock rules written around your real sales process
- Cash on delivery, wallets, cards and courier booking planned from day one
- Clean code, tests and documentation you can hand to any Laravel developer
Custom store versus hosted platform
Most shops should start on a hosted platform. A custom Laravel store earns its cost only when the business logic is the product: tiered wholesale pricing that differs per customer, made-to-order items with configurable options, rental or subscription billing, marketplaces with several sellers, or a catalogue that has to stay in step with a warehouse system.
If you are patching a theme with five plugins to imitate one workflow, that is usually the signal.
Laravel is a good fit because it gives a mature structure for routing, queues, scheduled jobs, validation and authentication, so our developers spend time on your rules rather than on plumbing. Eloquent models map neatly to products, variants, orders and customers, and the framework's queue system keeps slow work such as invoice generation, courier booking and email out of the checkout request.
We build for Pakistani and international sellers alike. A Lahore brand selling clothing nationwide needs cash on delivery handling, city-wise shipping rules and order confirmation by phone or WhatsApp. A Gulf or UK buyer expects card payments, tax-inclusive display and clean returns. Both can live in one codebase when the design allows for it, which is why we plan markets and currencies before writing the first migration.
Speed matters too. Pakistani shoppers browse mostly on phones, often on uneven mobile data, so we build lean pages, compress images and cache catalogue queries. A store that loads quickly on a mid-range handset in Multan converts better than a heavier one that only looks good on a office laptop in Lahore. We treat that as a build requirement, not a polish step.
Storefront and back office scope
The scope below is the usual baseline. We trim or extend it after a discovery call.
- Catalogue and variant engineProducts, categories, attributes, variants, bundles and media management, with bulk import and export for your team.
- Cart and checkoutGuest and account checkout, address validation, coupon rules, tax and shipping calculation, and clear order confirmation pages.
- Payment integrationCard gateways, bank transfer and wallet options, plus cash on delivery with a confirmation step to reduce refused parcels.
- Order managementStatus workflow, partial shipments, refunds, notes and an audit trail so staff can see who changed what.
- Inventory and fulfilmentStock tracking, low-stock alerts, warehouse or location rules and courier label generation.
- Customer accountsOrder history, saved addresses, reorder buttons and optional wholesale or loyalty tiers.
- Admin dashboardDaily sales, stock and order queues built with our Laravel admin panel and dashboard work.
- SEO and analytics foundationsClean URLs, structured data, sitemaps, GA4 ecommerce events and Search Console verification.

Delivery plan from discovery to launch
A store is built in slices so you can test real flows early instead of waiting for a big reveal.
- Discovery and rules workshopWe map products, pricing logic, order states, integrations and edge cases such as returns and partial payments, then write the scope in plain language.
- Data model and prototypeDatabase design and a clickable prototype of catalogue, cart and checkout, so you approve the flow before heavy build work starts.
- Core build in sprintsCatalogue, checkout, accounts and admin are delivered in short cycles with a staging site you can use every week.
- IntegrationsPayments, couriers, accounting, ERP or CRM connections are built and tested against sandbox accounts first.
- Testing and load checkAutomated tests for pricing and stock logic, manual test scripts for staff, and a realistic traffic test before any campaign day.
- Launch and handoverData migration, redirects from the old store, monitoring, backups and a written handover with a support window.

Technology stack we typically use
We choose tools to match your team and hosting, not our habits.
Layer | Typical choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
Framework | Laravel with PHP 8 | Structure, security defaults and a large talent pool |
Storefront UI | Blade with Livewire, or Inertia with Vue or React | Fast pages without a heavy build for simple stores |
Data | MySQL or PostgreSQL, Redis for cache and queues | Reliable orders and quick catalogue pages |
Search | Laravel Scout with Meilisearch or similar | Typo-tolerant product search |
Payments | Stripe and Laravel Cashier, plus local gateways | Depends on your merchant account and market |
Hosting | VPS or cloud with queue workers and backups | Predictable performance, including during power or network issues |
Factors that decide scope and cost
We quote after discovery. These are the things that move a project up or down.
Pricing complexity
Flat prices are simple. Customer-specific prices, quantity breaks and rules by region need more design and testing.
Number of integrations
Each payment, courier, ERP or marketplace connection adds build and testing time.
Catalogue size and migration
Moving thousands of products with variants and images from an old store takes planning.
Multi-market selling
Several currencies, taxes and languages, including Urdu and English, widen the scope.
Admin tooling
A basic order list is cheap. Role-based permissions, reports and bulk tools take longer.
Design depth
A theme-based front end is quicker than a fully custom design system and animation work.
Cases where we suggest another route
If you sell a few dozen standard products and have no unusual rules, a hosted platform will get you live faster and cost less to maintain.
Start with the smallest version that proves buyers will order, then grow.
Our guide on custom website versus template sets out the decision in more detail, and for plugin-sized needs on WordPress the notes on building a WooCommerce plugin may be the better starting point.
A third option is the middle path: start on WooCommerce or Shopify, learn what customers actually do, then move the proven parts to Laravel when the limits become expensive.
Proof by method: a store you can verify
What we control is whether the store is correct, fast and measurable.
Staging mirrors production, and releases are tagged so any change can be rolled back.
After launch you receive GA4 ecommerce events and a dashboard that reconciles orders, payments and delivered parcels, which matters when cash on delivery orders are refused at the door.
Our team has built more than 500 websites over 18+ years, and you can browse examples in the work portfolio.
Queue and caching tuning is covered in Laravel performance optimization quick wins.
Handover includes an architecture note describing the main models, the order lifecycle and each integration, plus a runbook for common events such as restoring a backup or re-queuing failed courier bookings.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers before you get in touch.
Is Laravel better than WooCommerce or Shopify for ecommerce?
Neither is better in general. WooCommerce and Shopify win on speed to launch and ecosystem. Laravel wins when your rules are unusual or you want full control of data and logic. We compare the options openly, including PHP versus Laravel, before recommending anything.
Can the store handle cash on delivery and local couriers?
Yes. We build confirmation steps, city-based rules and courier booking so that COD orders are verified before dispatch. Courier API access depends on your account with each company, so we confirm availability early. Larger courier work is covered by our shipping and courier plugin development.
Do I own the source code?
Yes. On final payment you receive the repository, documentation and deployment notes. We use standard Laravel conventions so another developer can take over without a rewrite.
How long does a custom Laravel store take?
It depends on pricing rules, integrations and design depth, so we give a schedule after discovery. A focused store with standard checkout is a very different project from a multi-vendor marketplace. We deliver in sprints so you see working software throughout.
Can you connect the store to our ERP or CRM?
Yes, through APIs, webhooks or scheduled sync jobs. If you need the back office as well, see our work on ERP development and CRM development.
What happens after launch?
We offer a support window and optional monthly maintenance covering updates, backups and monitoring. You can contact us for a consultation to talk through your store and the right support level.
