Plugin API integration that keeps your site and systems in step
We build plugins that connect WordPress and WooCommerce to the outside tools your business runs on, such as CRMs, accounting systems, couriers and messaging platforms. Plugin API integration is for teams tired of copying data by hand or relying on a connector that fails silently.

- Authentication, retries and error logs designed in, not added after the first outage
- Two-way sync with clear rules for which system wins a conflict
- Documented endpoints and a readable log your staff can check themselves
The gap between your website and your back office
A website is often the first place a lead or order appears, but rarely the place it is handled. Sales work happens in a CRM, finance in accounting software, deliveries in a courier portal.
When these systems do not talk, somebody exports a spreadsheet, retypes details and makes mistakes. The business pays for that in slow follow-up and wrong invoices.
Integration plugins remove that handoff. A form submission creates a contact and a task. A paid order creates an invoice and a shipping label. A stock change in your warehouse system updates the shop. Each looks small, and each saves a human from an error-prone chore.
We build these for WordPress sites, WooCommerce stores and for software products that need WordPress as a front end. If your integration work lives mainly in custom applications rather than WordPress, our API development and integration service is the closer match.
Scope of a typical integration build
We separate the connection, the data mapping and the failure handling, because each can go wrong on its own.
- API discoveryWe read the documentation, request sandbox credentials and test the endpoints you need, noting rate limits and quirks.
- AuthenticationOAuth, API keys or tokens stored securely, with refresh handling and no secrets in the code or the database in plain text.
- Field mappingA written map of which field in your site matches which field in the other system, including formats and defaults.
- Sync direction and rulesOne-way or two-way, real time or scheduled, and the rule for conflicts when both sides change.
- Queues and retriesBackground jobs through Action Scheduler or WP-Cron so a slow API does not freeze checkout, with retry limits.
- Webhook receiversVerified endpoints that accept events from the other system and ignore duplicates.
- Admin visibilityA log screen and a simple status panel, so your team can see what synced, what failed and why.
- DocumentationField map, endpoint list and a short runbook for common failures.
Why trust this team with your build
For Plugin API Integration, projects live or die on maintainability. Here is what stands behind the delivery.

500+ websites and web applications delivered over 18+ years for clients in 48 countries, the experience behind your Plugin API Integration project.
Certified expertise
For Plugin API Integration, engineering is planned together with SEO, speed and reporting, so what ships is findable, fast and measurable rather than just finished.
Recognised work
Led by Junaid Tariq, a National Level Award Winner in Digital Marketing who also builds WordPress plugins, CRMs and web applications. See the about page.
Transparent by default
A written scope and milestones before build, code and documentation handed over at the end and hosting or domain accounts kept in your name.
Project run-through
We write the data flow down before code, because most integration bugs are misunderstandings.
- Flow mappingWe draw the journey of a record from the website to each system and back, with owners for every step.
- Sandbox connectionA thin first version proves authentication and one record type end to end.
- Build the syncWe add each data type, with validation and logging, and test it with realistic records.
- Failure drillsWe deliberately break things: wrong credentials, a timeout, a malformed response, a duplicate event.
- PilotA limited live run, perhaps one form or one product category, checked against both systems.
- Full roll-outAll records go through, with a monitoring window and a handover of the log and runbook.

Systems we connect most often
The platforms change by client. The patterns stay similar.
Category | Examples | Common data moved |
|---|---|---|
CRM and sales | HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, custom CRMs | Leads, contacts, deals, notes |
Accounting | QuickBooks, Xero, local accounting software with an API | Invoices, payments, customers |
Messaging | WhatsApp Business platform, SMS and email services | Order alerts, confirmations, reminders |
Shipping | Courier and rate APIs, see courier plugin development | Labels, tracking, status |
Marketing | Google Ads, Meta Conversions API, email platforms | Offline conversions, audiences |
Internal tools | ERPs, custom Laravel or PHP systems | Stock, pricing, orders |
Scope and timeline drivers
An hour with the documentation usually tells us more than a long brief. These are the variables.
API maturity
Well-documented REST APIs with sandboxes are faster. Legacy SOAP or undocumented endpoints take longer.
Sync direction
Two-way sync needs conflict rules and more testing than a one-way push.
Data volume
Large historical imports need batching and careful resource limits, especially on shared hosting.
Rate limits
Strict limits on the other side shape how often and how much we can send.
Error tolerance
Systems that must never miss a record need queues, alerts and stricter testing.
Ownership of the other side
If we need your vendor's help to get credentials or fix their API, calendar time stretches.
Cases for skipping a custom connector
Custom code earns its place when the official one is missing, too rigid, or charges per task at a scale that no longer makes sense.
They become expensive and brittle with high volumes or complex logic, and failures are harder to trace.
Duplicate contacts, inconsistent product codes and unclear ownership will be copied faithfully from one system to another. A short data clean-up first saves rework.
Designing for the unreliable parts
It times out, returns a half-formed response, changes a field name or throttles you at the busiest hour. The question is what your website does next.
We design so that a customer completes checkout or a visitor submits a form regardless, and the integration catches up in the background.
That means storing the payload locally first, sending it through a queue, recording each attempt, and alerting someone after a set number of failures.
It also means never blocking a page load on a remote call when it can be avoided, since a slow third party is a common cause of slow sites.
Outgoing calls use the minimum permissions the vendor allows, and incoming webhooks check signatures or secrets before any data is accepted.
Personal data is passed only where needed, which keeps you closer to your obligations under privacy rules that apply to your customers. We are not your legal adviser, so check the requirements for your markets.
Documentation and handover
Our handover pack includes the field map, a list of endpoints and credentials locations, the sync schedule, and a short runbook for the usual failures: expired token, rate limit hit, record rejected by validation.
If the vendor on the other end changes or retires an endpoint, the runbook tells you where to look, and the maintenance plan above picks up the change before it bites.
Evidence that the sync works
During the pilot we select a sample of real entries, follow each one through both systems and tick off the matches in a shared sheet. Differences get fixed before the full rollout.
It shows each attempt, the response code, the record reference and the outcome, with sensitive data masked.
If something fails, you see when and why, and our maintenance service can watch it for you.
Credentials are stored with care, endpoints verify signatures, and we apply the checks described in our plugin security and code audit work.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers before you get in touch.
How long does a plugin API integration take?
A single, well-documented connection, such as form entries into a CRM, is often a matter of weeks. Multiple systems, two-way sync and large data imports take longer. The biggest swing factor is usually the other vendor's documentation and support.
What happens when the other system goes down?
Requests are queued and retried at spaced intervals, then flagged in the log if they keep failing. Your website carries on working, and the records sync once the other side returns.
Can you connect a custom or in-house system?
Yes, provided it exposes an API or we can build one. If it does not, we can add a small API layer, or advise on a better approach. Our PHP API development team handles that side.
Is Zapier enough, or do I need a plugin?
For small volumes and simple flows, an automation tool is often enough and cheaper to start. For high volume, complex rules, or when you need clear logs and no per-task fees, a plugin is the steadier choice.
Do you integrate Chrome extensions or other tools?
We build and connect Chrome extensions to the same APIs, and can share logic between a WordPress plugin and an extension when a project needs both.
Can you adapt an existing integration plugin?
Often, yes. Our plugin customization services start with a code review, then a recommendation to extend, repair or replace. Details of how to reach us are on the contact page.
