ASP.NET maintenance & support that keeps live applications healthy
Our ASP.NET maintenance & support service looks after live .NET applications: security updates, monitoring, bug fixes, performance checks and small improvements. It suits businesses whose application is essential to daily work but whose original developer is gone, busy or too expensive for small tasks.

- A named team that already knows your code and servers
- Proactive patching and monitoring, not only reaction to outages
- Clear response expectations agreed in writing before you need them
Software that is not maintained gets worse
An application does not stand still after launch. Operating systems are patched, browsers change behaviour, certificates expire, packages publish security fixes and traffic grows.
An application left alone for two years usually fails in a way that is both urgent and avoidable, often at the end of a month when finance needs it most.
Maintenance is the routine that prevents those moments. It means someone checks the logs, applies updates in a test copy first, watches disk space and backups, answers users' questions about odd behaviour and keeps a record of what changed. It also means someone who understands the system well enough to make a small change without breaking a large one.
We take over applications built by others and care for those we built ourselves. For a new build, the same team can move naturally into support after ASP.NET Core development ends, which avoids a knowledge gap.
Support plan components
Plans are composed from these elements and adjusted to how critical the application is.
- Onboarding reviewWe read the code, deployment process, hosting setup and backups, and write down what we find, including risks nobody has mentioned.
- Security and dependency updatesFramework, package and server patches are tested in staging, then released on a schedule.
- Monitoring and alertsUptime checks, error logging and application insights, with alerts routed to named people.
- Bug fixingReported faults are logged, reproduced, fixed and released with a note on what changed.
- Small enhancementsA pool of hours for minor features, report changes and form tweaks, prioritised by you.
- Backup and restore verificationBackups are tested by restoring them, since an untested backup is only a hope.
- Performance reviewPeriodic checks on slow pages and queries, with advice from our SQL Server database development team where needed.
- Monthly summaryA short report listing issues handled, updates applied, risks found and recommended next steps.

A typical month of care
In the first week, updates released by Microsoft and package authors are reviewed and any relevant to your application are tested on staging. Security advisories take priority.
Error logs from the past weeks are read for patterns, because a rare exception that appears every day is a bug even if nobody has complained.
Each is logged, estimated if it is more than trivial, and delivered with a short note.
The routine is intentionally dull. Dull is the goal.
Taking over an application safely
Onboarding someone else's system is a short project of its own.
- Access and inventoryRepository, servers, domain, certificates, third-party accounts and credentials are listed and moved into your ownership where they are not already.
- Build and run checkWe build the code on a clean machine and stand up a staging copy, which proves the project can be recovered at all.
- Risk registerFindings are ranked: outdated frameworks, missing backups, hard-coded secrets, no tests. You choose what to fix first.
- Baseline monitoringLogging and uptime checks start, so we can tell normal from abnormal.
- First maintenance cycleUpdates, small fixes and documentation gaps are handled in the first month.
- Regular rhythmMonthly review calls, a shared task list and a clear channel for urgent issues.
Support cost and arrangement factors
We price once we have seen the application, because these factors vary widely.
Business criticality
A system that stops sales needs faster response and more monitoring than an internal report tool.
Age of the stack
Older frameworks and unsupported components need more care. A move through ASP.NET migration (framework to core) often reduces ongoing cost.
Integrations
Each connected service is another point of failure. See ASP.NET third-party integration.
Documentation and tests
Good ones make support quicker. Missing ones mean the first months go on understanding the system.
Hosting arrangement
Fully managed cloud, your own servers or shared hosting change who is responsible for what.
Common issues we resolve in inherited apps
These come up in nearly every takeover.
Expired or manually renewed certificates
Moved to automated renewal with alerts well before expiry.
Unsupported framework versions
Plan made to upgrade, with interim hardening if the date is far off.
Connection strings and keys in source
Moved to protected configuration and rotated.
Backups that were never tested
Restore rehearsal added to the monthly routine.
Unhandled errors that vanish
Structured logging added so faults are visible and searchable.
Signs your application needs attention now
If two or more apply, a review is overdue.
- Nobody knows where the latest code isRecovery would depend on a laptop or a former contractor.
- Updates have not been applied for a year or moreSecurity fixes are piling up unapplied.
- Errors are discovered by customersThere is no monitoring that tells you first.
- Releases are manual and nervousFiles are copied to the server by hand with no way back.
- The hosting setup is a mysteryCredentials and renewal dates are held by one person.
Boundaries and honest limits
Larger features are scoped as projects. We also cannot promise that nothing will ever break. What we offer is faster detection, tested fixes and a calm, documented response when something does.
If the platform is so old that updates are impossible, the money is better spent on modernisation, perhaps through ASP.NET MVC development for a staged rebuild.
For the hosting side, our guide to Azure hosting for ASP.NET explains the options.
Evidence of care, month by month
Each month you receive a written summary: the updates applied, incidents with cause and fix, backup test results, outstanding risks and what we propose next.
Instead, the response times are written in the agreement, and the reports show whether they were met.
Our wider experience comes from 18+ years and 500+ websites, and the full range of our work on this stack is on the ASP.NET development services page.
From Gulberg III, Lahore, we cover working hours for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, UK and Europe, with agreed arrangements for US time zones. Urgent contact details are exchanged at onboarding, and non-urgent requests go through a shared tracker.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers before you get in touch.
Can you support an application you did not build?
Yes. The onboarding review is designed for exactly that. We confirm that we can build and run the code, document the risks and agree what we can safely support.
What response times do you offer?
They are agreed per application and written into the support terms, with different targets for urgent faults and routine requests. We do not quote a generic figure, as it depends on the plan and system.
Do you fix security vulnerabilities?
We apply framework and package updates and address vulnerabilities found in the code or dependencies. We cannot promise any system is immune, which is why monitoring and backups are part of the plan.
Can we pay only when we need help?
Yes, through an on-demand arrangement, though response is subject to availability. Clients with business-critical systems normally prefer a retainer or hours bank, which secures capacity.
Do you also handle hosting?
We can manage cloud environments on your account or work with your existing host. Ownership of accounts stays with you.
How do we set up a plan?
Share the application details through the contact page. We run an onboarding review and propose a plan. Existing projects built by us can move straight into support from API and web builds alike.
