Responsive web design that works properly on the phone in your customer's hand
Responsive web design builds one website that rearranges itself to suit any screen, from a small Android phone to a wide monitor. We deliver it for businesses whose customers mostly browse on mobile and who need pages that are readable, quick and easy to act on.

- Designed phone-first, then scaled up to tablet and desktop
- Tested on real devices and common browsers, not only a browser preview
- Built to load quickly on mid-range phones and uneven connections
Mobile-first is a design decision, not a setting
A site that merely shrinks is not responsive in any useful way. The text becomes tiny, the menu hides everything, tap targets overlap and a form that was easy on a laptop becomes a chore.
Real responsive design begins with the smallest screen and asks what a visitor needs to see first, then adds space and detail as the screen grows.
This matters more in Pakistan than in many markets. A large share of visitors arrive on mid-range Android phones, often on mobile data, sometimes in bright sunlight, and frequently with a thumb rather than a mouse. A page that looks beautiful in a designer's mockup but takes ages to load, or hides the phone number in a hamburger menu, loses buyers every day.
We have built more than 500 websites for clients in 48 countries, and the pattern holds in the UK, UAE and US as well. Google also indexes the mobile version of most pages first, so the mobile page is the page that counts.
Deliverables for a responsive build
Whether this is a new site or a rework of an old one, these are the standards we hold to.
- Breakpoint planLayouts defined for small phones, large phones, tablets, laptops and wide screens, with sensible behaviour between them.
- Touch-friendly interfaceButtons and links sized for thumbs, spaced to avoid mis-taps, with click-to-call and WhatsApp buttons within easy reach.
- Readable typographyFont sizes and line lengths set for reading on small screens, with proper contrast.
- Flexible images and mediaImages served at suitable sizes, with modern formats where supported, so phones do not download desktop files.
- Navigation that adaptsMenus, search and filters redesigned for small screens instead of just collapsed.
- Forms that work on mobileCorrect keyboard types, short fields and clear error messages.
- Cross-device testingReal phones and tablets plus the main browsers, covering both Android and iOS.

Working method and schedule
The process is similar for new builds and conversions of older fixed-width sites.
- Device and audience reviewWe check your analytics for the devices, screen sizes and browsers your visitors really use.
- Mobile wireframesKey pages are sketched at phone size first, deciding priority of content and actions.
- Design systemColours, type, spacing and components defined once so every page behaves consistently.
- Build and optimiseResponsive templates are developed with performance in mind, using WordPress, Elementor, Laravel or custom code as appropriate.
- Device testingPages are tested on physical devices, throttled connections and common browsers, then fixed.
- Launch and monitorAfter launch we watch mobile engagement and Core Web Vitals in Search Console and adjust.

Designing for real Pakistani browsing conditions
Many visitors use mid-range phones with limited memory, mobile data with variable signal, and browsers that are not updated often.
We set a performance budget at the start of the project, which caps the size of images, scripts and fonts so the design cannot quietly grow beyond what those phones can handle.
Many businesses want an English site with an Urdu version, or mixed content such as English headings with Roman Urdu support text.
Fonts also need care, since a heavy Urdu font can slow the first view.
A visible WhatsApp button often matters more than a contact form for a local service business, and cash on delivery messages should be clear at the product page rather than hidden at checkout.
Common faults on mobile
These are the faults we find most often when auditing existing sites.
Fault | What the visitor sees | How we fix it |
|---|---|---|
Desktop images on mobile | Slow loading, high data use | Resized, compressed images and lazy loading |
Tiny tap targets | Wrong links opened by accident | Larger, spaced buttons |
Sliders and pop-ups | Covered content, accidental closes | Removed or simplified for small screens |
Hidden calls to action | Nowhere obvious to call or message | Sticky call and WhatsApp buttons |
Layout shifts | Page jumps while loading | Reserved space for images and ads |
Platforms and stacks we build on
The right base depends on who will maintain the site afterwards.
WordPress and Elementor
Good for business sites where your team wants to edit pages. See our Elementor website development.
Shopify
Responsive themes with a mobile checkout that suits online stores selling to local and overseas buyers.
Custom PHP and Laravel
Used where layouts, dashboards or workflows are too specific for a template.
Existing site conversions
Older fixed-width sites rebuilt or retrofitted, depending on code quality.
Price and scope drivers
Ten service pages that share a template cost little extra.
Custom interactions, product filters, multilingual layouts for English and Urdu, right-to-left text support and complex forms add design and testing time.
Browse web design packages for typical scopes and ask us for a quote when you are ready.
Cases where something else comes first
If your site has deeper problems, such as unclear messaging, no analytics or a weak offer, making it fit every screen will not fix them.
If the pages are already responsive but sluggish, the work is performance, which belongs to website speed optimization and our guide to speeding up your website for Core Web Vitals.
We advise against a split approach, because it doubles the maintenance and often leaves one version neglected.
Evidence you can check after launch
We compare mobile and desktop behaviour in GA4, track Core Web Vitals in Search Console and PageSpeed reports, and test key paths such as a form submission on a real phone.
Responsive builds sit alongside ongoing care through website maintenance and support, and single-purpose pages from landing page design.
We work from Gulberg III, Lahore, with clients across the USA, UK, UAE and Europe.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers before you get in touch.
What is the difference between responsive and mobile-friendly?
Mobile-friendly means a site is usable on a phone. Responsive means the layout itself adapts to every screen size using flexible grids and styles. A good responsive site is also mobile-friendly, but a mobile-friendly page can be a separate version with duplicated content.
Does responsive design help SEO?
It helps because Google mostly uses the mobile version for indexing, and one URL per page avoids duplicate versions. It does not rank a site by itself, since content, links and speed matter just as much.
Can you make my old website responsive without rebuilding it?
Sometimes. If the code is clean, we can adapt templates. If it was built with fixed widths and old plugins, a rebuild is usually cheaper and safer. We review first and tell you honestly.
Which devices do you test on?
A range of Android phones including mid-range models, recent iPhones, a tablet and the major desktop browsers. We also test on slowed connections, since many visitors are not on fast wifi.
Do you support Urdu and right-to-left layouts?
Yes. Urdu pages need different fonts, line spacing and mirrored layouts for some components, and we test them on real phones.
