International SEO services that make each market find the right version of your site
We plan and run international SEO services for businesses that sell or want to sell in more than one country or language: market selection, site structure, hreflang, localised content and tracking by market. It suits exporters, SaaS firms, ecommerce brands and service providers whose search traffic is landing on the wrong country page, or not landing at all.

- Market and keyword research done per country, not translated from one list
- Hreflang, URL structure and canonical rules planned before pages are built
- Reporting split by country and language so you see where growth really comes from
Businesses that need a multi-country search strategy
Selling abroad changes the SEO problem. A page that ranks well in Pakistan does not automatically rank in the UK, and a British visitor who lands on a US price page loses trust quickly.
Search engines need clear signals about which page serves which country and language. Visitors need wording, currency, delivery terms and examples that feel local.
We usually work with four kinds of business. Exporters from Sialkot, Lahore or Karachi who want direct buyers instead of marketplace dependence. Software and SaaS teams selling to several English-speaking markets. Online stores shipping to the Gulf, the UK or North America. And service companies with offices or clients in more than one country who see their pages competing against each other.
The common symptoms are easy to spot. The wrong regional page ranks, duplicate pages split authority, translated text reads badly, or traffic from a market arrives and never converts. All of these are fixable, and none of them is solved by simply adding more pages.
Many exporters discover that their best foreign customers already find them through a single English blog post or product page. We start by finding those pages and protecting them. Rebuilding a site around ten countries is not necessary when two pages already prove demand in one.
Scope of the engagement
Scope is adjusted to your markets, but these pieces appear in nearly every project.
- Market prioritisationWe compare demand, competition and your ability to fulfil orders, so you start with the countries most likely to pay back the effort.
- Country-level keyword researchSearch terms differ by region. A US shopper says one thing, a UK shopper another, and a Gulf buyer may search in Arabic or English.
- Site structure recommendationWe weigh country domains, subfolders and subdomains against your resources, brand and platform, then document the choice and its trade-offs.
- Hreflang and canonical planCorrect language and region annotations, self-referencing rules and sitemap handling, tested before and after release.
- Localised page briefsBriefs for writers or translators covering search intent, local terms, units, currency, trust signals and legal pages.
- Technical review per marketHosting location, page speed from target countries, indexing checks and redirect behaviour for visitors in different regions.
- Local links and mentionsOutreach plans for relevant sites in each market, coordinated with our link building services.
- Country-split reportingSearch Console and GA4 views by market and language, with notes on what changed and what we do next.

From market research to steady expansion
A typical order of work, with milestones you can plan around.
- Discovery and auditWe review your current site, existing traffic by country, tracking and fulfilment limits. This often reveals traffic you already earn abroad without a page built for it.
- Market and keyword mapEach shortlisted country gets its own keyword set, competitor review and decision on language, currency and page types.
- Architecture and technical planWe agree URL structure, hreflang approach, CMS changes and who implements them, whether your developers or ours.
- Content and page buildPriority pages are written or adapted for the local market, then published in stages so we can watch indexing and fix errors early.
- Authority and local signalsRelevant links, directory listings, reviews and partner mentions are built for each target country.
- Measure, adjust, add marketsMonthly reviews decide whether to deepen a market, pause it or open the next one.

Structure options and their trade-offs
There is no single correct setup. This is how the usual choices compare.
Option | Strength | Limitation | Usually suits |
|---|---|---|---|
Country domains (.co.uk, .ae) | Clear local signal and trust | Each domain builds authority separately; more to maintain | Large brands with local teams |
Subfolders (/uk/, /ae/) | Shares authority of one domain; simpler to manage | Needs careful hreflang and consistent templates | Most growing exporters and stores |
Subdomains (uk.example.com) | Technical separation, different platforms possible | Often treated as a more separate site; authority is less shared | Teams with distinct regional platforms |
One page set, language only | Cheapest to launch | Weak for country-specific intent and currency | Content sites with a global audience |
Tools and checks behind the work
We use mainstream tools and verify their data against Google's own.
Google Search Console
Performance by country and query, indexing status and hreflang-related coverage issues.
GA4 and Looker Studio
Conversion tracking by market, with dashboards that separate countries and languages.
Screaming Frog and site crawlers
Audit of annotations, canonicals, redirects and duplicate content across language versions.
Ahrefs or Semrush
Keyword demand and competitor visibility checked per country database.
Local SERP checks
Manual result checks using location settings or proxies, since tool estimates can miss local layouts.
Scope and cost drivers, and how we quote
The main drivers are the number of countries, the number of languages, how many pages need local versions, your CMS and how much developer time hreflang and structure changes require.
You can see how we package ongoing work on the SEO packages page, and the contact page is the quickest route to a tailored quote.
Cases where international SEO is the wrong move
If your home market is not yet performing, fix that first, because a weak base multiplied across five countries is five weak sites.
Businesses with a single city focus can often get further with a local plan.
Very large catalogues with several teams and approval layers may need our enterprise SEO services instead.
Time zones, contracts and payment basics
We schedule calls inside UK and UAE business hours, and with US mornings, and keep a shared task board so nothing depends on a call.
International clients are invoiced in USD, with scope, deliverables and review dates written into a simple agreement before work starts. If you need an NDA, we sign one; the NDA terms are public.
Country-specific legal pages, such as privacy notices and shipping terms, remain your responsibility, though we flag where search engines and visitors expect them.
Questions to put to any international SEO vendor
Useful whether you hire us or someone else.
Who writes the local copy?
Native or near-native reviewers should read pages that sell. Ask to see a sample.
How will you choose between domains and folders?
A good answer discusses your resources and platform, not a default.
What happens if the wrong country page ranks?
They should describe how they diagnose canonicals, hreflang and internal links.
How is reporting split?
Results should be shown per country and language, not as one blended total.
Proof by method: how we show it is working
Early indicators are indexed pages per language version, impressions and average position in each market, and the right page appearing for each country. Later indicators are enquiries, orders and revenue by source country.
Every report separates organic results by market and flags problems plainly: a hreflang error, a page cannibalising another, or a country where competition is heavier than planned.
Similar reporting discipline sits behind our SEO audit services, and manufacturers can see how this applies in marketing for manufacturers.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers before you get in touch.
Do I need a separate website for each country?
Not always. Many businesses do well with one domain and country or language subfolders. Separate country domains make sense when you have local teams, local legal entities or a budget to maintain each site. We compare the options against your resources before recommending one.
What is hreflang and do I really need it?
Hreflang is an annotation that tells search engines which language or regional version of a page to show to which user. If you have near-identical pages for different countries, such as UK and US English, it helps avoid the wrong version ranking. A site with one language and one market does not need it.
Can you handle Arabic or Urdu content?
We plan the research, structure and briefs, and work with native-speaking writers for the final copy. Right-to-left layouts need template testing as well, which we include in the technical review.
How long before a new country version ranks?
It depends on competition, domain strength and how local the page is. Expect indexing within weeks and a gradual build after that. Our guide on whether backlinks still matter explains why authority in each market matters too.
Will automatic translation plugins work?
They can produce readable pages, but unreviewed output often misses local search terms and phrasing, which limits rankings and trust. We recommend human review at minimum for pages that sell.
Can a Pakistan-based team really rank sites in the US or UK?
Search results depend on the quality of the site, content and links, not where the team sits. We research from local SERP data, use native reviewers where needed and work in your time zone for calls. Browse our SEO agency services or speak to us to discuss your markets.
