Design as a commercial decision

Interface design decides whether a visitor understands your offer in five seconds, finds the next step and trusts you enough to take it. UX is the structure and flow: what comes first, what is hidden, how many steps a form has.

UI is the visual language that carries it: type, spacing, colour, buttons, icons and states.

The two cannot be separated, and neither is decoration. A beautiful page with a confusing path loses money quietly, because the visitor leaves and nobody sees why. Our work starts by finding that why, using analytics, recordings, user conversations and a heuristic review of the pages that matter most.

We design for the people who actually use the product: busy decision-makers on phones, first-time buyers who need reassurance, staff who use an internal tool eight hours a day.

Research methods we use, and when we skip them

Not every project needs a long research phase.

If you have strong analytics and a clear audience, a heuristic review plus a few user calls may be enough.

If you are entering a new market or building a product with unfamiliar users, deeper interviews and testing save expensive mistakes later.

We commonly combine four sources.

Quantitative data from GA4 shows where people drop. Session recordings show how they behave. Interviews with customers and sales staff reveal what they were hoping for.

A review against established usability principles catches avoidable errors in labels, forms and navigation.
The result is a short list of problems we can defend, not a long list of opinions.

Designers on our team present findings with evidence, so stakeholders discuss the user, not personal taste.

  3. WireframesLow-fidelity layouts for key templates, focused on hierarchy, content and calls to action. Output: clickable wireframes.
  4. Visual design and design systemTypography, colour, components and states. Output: a Figma file with reusable components and spacing rules.
  5. Prototype and usability testingFive to eight representative users attempt real tasks while we watch. Output: a test report with fixes.
  6. Developer handoffAnnotated specs, assets and support during build so the finished product matches the design.

Mobile, accessibility and local context

In Pakistan and many of the markets we serve, most first visits happen on phones.

We design mobile screens first, with thumb-reachable actions, readable type on small screens and forms that use the right keyboard for each field.

Click-to-call and WhatsApp buttons are treated as primary actions when that is how your customers prefer to talk.
Accessibility is built in from the beginning: sufficient contrast, clear focus states, labelled inputs and sensible heading order.

It improves usability for everyone, including people reading in bright sunlight on a cracked screen.

If your audience reads Urdu, we test the interface in Urdu too.

Right-to-left layouts are not a mirror image of English ones, and fonts, line height and numerals need individual attention.

The same standards apply across progressive web apps and standard sites.

Deliverables in the design package

What lands in your shared folder at the end.

  • Research summaryEvidence behind decisions, so later debates have facts to point at.
  • User flows and sitemapPaths for each audience, from first visit to conversion.
  • Wireframes for every key templateDesktop and mobile versions with annotated behaviour.
  • High-fidelity screensFinal visual design for approved templates, including empty, error and loading states.
  • Design systemColours, typography, buttons, forms, cards and spacing documented for developers and future designers.
  • Accessibility notesContrast, focus order, label rules and touch target sizes.
  • PrototypeClickable version used for testing and stakeholder sign-off.

Design emphasis by project type

Emphasis shifts with the product.

Project
Main design focus
Link to build
Marketing website
Message hierarchy, trust, conversion paths
Online store
Product pages, filters, checkout friction
SaaS or portal
Onboarding, dashboards, data tables
Mobile app
Gesture, thumb reach, small-screen flows

Tools and the conversion connection

We design in Figma, test with prototypes and recorded sessions, and use GA4, Search Console and heatmap or recording tools to see real behaviour. The design system is built so that WordPress, React or Laravel developers can implement it without guessing.

UX work often overlaps with conversion improvement.

If the immediate goal is more enquiries from existing traffic, our conversion rate optimization consulting applies the same research to live pages with controlled tests.

Design for a new build and optimisation for an existing site use different tools, and we help you pick.

Scope and cost inputs for design

Design effort follows complexity, not page count.

Number of unique templates

Reused layouts are cheaper than one-off screens.

Research depth

Existing data may be enough, or you may need new interviews and tests.

Audience types

Each user group has its own journey and needs.

Design system size

A small component library is quick. A full system for a large product is a project on its own.

Responsive and device coverage

Desktop, tablet and phone designs, and right-to-left versions for Urdu or Arabic.

Stakeholder count

More reviewers lengthen feedback cycles.

Problems design alone cannot fix

If traffic is low or poorly matched to the offer, a prettier interface will not help.

If the product is slow, broken or priced out of the market, the experience cannot be rescued by layout, and testing will only confirm it.

In these cases, we recommend fixing speed through website speed optimization, or improving traffic and offer first.

Honest diagnosis is part of the service, and we would rather lose a design sale than deliver a redesign that cannot fix the real problem.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you get in touch.

What is the difference between UI and UX design?

UX covers research, structure and flow: how a person gets something done. UI is the visual layer that presents it: layout, type, colour and components. Good projects need both.

Do you design in Figma and hand over to developers?

Yes. We deliver organised Figma files with components and specs, and stay available during build to answer questions and review the result.

Can you redesign my existing site without a full rebuild?

Often yes. We can redesign key templates and apply them to the current platform, then roll out gradually. See website redesign services for larger overhauls.

Do you test designs with real users?

Yes. Small moderated tests with five to eight people from your target audience reveal most serious problems, and we record findings with fixes.

Will you design for Urdu or Arabic as well as English?

Yes. We design right-to-left layouts, choose suitable fonts and test line length and alignment so bilingual sites look native in each language.
