Industry keyword & content strategy that matches how your buyers search
Industry keyword & content strategy is the plan that decides which searches your business should chase, which pages and articles answer them, and in what order to publish. It suits companies in specialised sectors, from clinics and manufacturers to software firms and exporters, where generic SEO advice misses the way buyers actually look for suppliers.

- Keyword themes mapped to buying stages, not just search volume
- A page-by-page content plan with owners, order and briefs
- Terminology checked against how your sector and your customers speak
Sector language is the whole job
A hospital administrator, a textile buyer in Germany and a homeowner in Lahore searching for solar panels use different words, ask different questions and trust different proof. Generic keyword lists, pulled from a tool and sorted by volume, flatten those differences and send you after the biggest numbers instead of the most valuable searches.
We start from the buyer instead. What triggers the search, which terms are technical and which are plain, what do people compare, what worries them before they contact anyone. Then we measure those themes against real data and sort them into a structure your website can carry: service pages, location pages, comparison pages, guides and proof pages.
The plan connects with the rest of our industry-wise digital marketing work and with the broader SEO content strategy and writing service, which can produce the articles once the plan is agreed.
Problems it solves
These are the situations where a sector-specific plan pays for itself.
Traffic that never enquires
Posts that attract students and curious readers rather than buyers. We re-aim content at the searches that sit nearer to a purchase decision.
Pages competing with each other
Several pages chasing the same phrase split rankings. Our mapping gives each topic one home, and we fix overlaps described in our guide to keyword cannibalization.
Technical sectors with thin content
Manufacturers and B2B suppliers often publish only a catalogue. We plan the application, specification and comparison content buyers use to shortlist.
Regulated claims
Healthcare, finance and similar sectors cannot write whatever ranks. We shape topics that stay inside advertising rules, coordinated with compliance review.
Mixed English and Urdu search
Many Pakistani queries arrive in Roman Urdu, Urdu script or English. We test which forms your market uses before choosing page language.
No publishing rhythm
Teams write when they find time. A sequenced calendar with briefs turns content into a steady process.

The strategy pack
Each project produces working documents rather than a single PDF report.
- Seed topic mapCore services, products, problems and questions defined with your team, in the words customers use.
- Keyword research and clusteringTerms grouped by topic and intent, with realistic difficulty notes and the pages that should target each cluster. See our guide to finding the right keywords for the principles.
- Search result analysisWhat Google currently shows for each cluster: service pages, directories, forum threads, videos, AI summaries. This decides the content format.
- Site architecture planWhich pages exist, which are missing, what to merge or retire, and how internal links should flow.
- Content calendar and briefsPriority order, working titles, intent, headings, proof to include, internal links and a call to action for each piece.
- Competitor content gap reviewTopics rivals cover that you do not, and topics nobody covers well.
- Measurement planWhich queries, pages and enquiry events we track, so progress is visible in Search Console and GA4.

Delivery sequence and timing
Duration depends on the size of the site and the number of service lines. A single-service firm moves faster than a group with many divisions.
- DiscoveryWe interview your team, review existing content and pull Search Console and GA4 data to see what already works.
- Topic and keyword researchSeed themes are expanded, checked against live results and split by intent: learn, compare, buy, contact.
- Clustering and mappingEach cluster is assigned to an existing page, a new page or no page at all. Not every keyword deserves content.
- PrioritisationWe rank work by business value, ease and dependencies, so the first quarter targets the pages most likely to bring qualified enquiries.
- Briefing and handoverYou receive the calendar and the first set of briefs, and we agree who writes, who reviews and who publishes.
- Review cycleAfter publishing starts we check indexing, rankings and enquiries, then adjust the plan against what the data shows.
Content formats by search intent
The format must match what the searcher wants. Here is how we generally assign it.
Intent | Typical query shape | Best format |
|---|---|---|
Learn | How a process or product works | Guide or academy-style article |
Compare | Option versus option, best for a use case | Comparison page with a clear table |
Evaluate supplier | Service plus city or country | Service or location page with proof |
Check compliance | Rules, approvals, standards | Plain-language explainer with sources |
Ready to act | Quote, price request, book | Landing page with form and WhatsApp option |
Existing customer | Support and how-to questions | Help article or FAQ |
Pakistani and international search habits
Buyers in Lahore, Karachi and Sialkot often mix English product names with Urdu phrasing, and many people search by typing a service plus a city name.
Export-facing manufacturers face a different pattern: their real buyers sit in the USA, Europe or the Gulf and search in English with specification-led terms. Treating both audiences with one keyword list wastes effort.
Where the market allows, we also plan local pages for cities, as in our work for SEO in Lahore and similar city pages, because those are the searches that bring walk-in and phone enquiries.
For overseas buyers we focus on trust content: certifications, sample policies, shipping terms and plain English product documentation.
A hospital procurement manager reads a long specification page. A consumer searching for a clinic wants fees explained, a map, opening hours and a quick way to message on WhatsApp. The plan sets those expectations page by page.
Mistakes this work prevents
These are the errors we find most often when we inherit an industry content programme.
- Writing for volumeChasing terms with large numbers and no buying intent, then wondering why traffic never turns into calls.
- Copying competitorsMatching rival topics one for one means you can only ever be second best on each.
- One page for everythingA single services page trying to rank for every treatment, product or division.
- Ignoring existing assetsOld pages with links and history are redirected or deleted before anyone checks their value.
- No proof on the pageSector buyers want certifications, case details, team credentials and process descriptions. Copy alone is rarely enough.
- Publishing without a measurement planWithout defined enquiry events, nobody can tell which articles earn their place.
Tools and data
GA4 shows which pages lead to enquiries.
We add keyword tools such as Semrush or Ahrefs for volume estimates and gap analysis, Screaming Frog for content inventories, and Looker Studio for tracking.
We also read industry bodies, trade publications, product datasheets, support tickets and sales emails, because the real vocabulary of a sector lives there.
If you are a manufacturer, our article on content strategy for B2B and industrial companies shows the thinking in more detail.
Variables behind the quote and schedule
We price from a scoping call, not a rate card. These are the variables.
Number of service lines
Each line brings its own audience and keyword set.
Existing content volume
A large site needs an inventory and decisions about merging or removing pages.
Languages and regions
English, Urdu or several country versions multiply research and mapping.
Subject-matter access
Experts who can review drafts speed up accurate briefs.
Compliance review
Regulated claims add review steps and approval time.
Who will write
Plan only is lighter than plan plus production through our writers.
Cases where a plan comes too early
Start with a technical review such as fixing technical SEO issues.
Similarly, if you have no one who can publish or approve content, a plan will simply gather dust, and a smaller retained writing arrangement may work better.
That is the job of industry market research & positioning, which we usually recommend before building any large content programme.
Proof by method: reporting and review
We measure it through coverage of the target clusters, impressions and clicks on the intended pages in Search Console, and, more importantly, the number and quality of enquiries from organic visitors in GA4 and your CRM.
Keyword rankings are included but not treated as the goal.
Work is delivered remotely from Gulberg III, Lahore, with calls timed for UK, UAE and US clients, and projects are invoiced in USD for international customers. To start, contact us with your sector and website.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers before you get in touch.
How is industry keyword research different from ordinary keyword research?
It starts from the vocabulary, buying process and rules of one sector instead of a generic seed list. A clinic, a factory and a software firm need different intent splits and different proof on the page. The method is similar, the judgement is not.
Do you write the content as well?
We can. The strategy stands alone, so you may give briefs to your own team, or have our writers produce the pages through the content writing service. Subject experts on your side should still review technical or regulated pages.
How many articles will the plan include?
It depends on the number of clusters and the competition. We recommend fewer, better pages tied to enquiries over a long list of posts. Some sectors need a dozen strong pages first, others need a hundred.
Can you plan for both Urdu and English audiences?
Yes, where it makes commercial sense. We check which search forms your customers use before deciding. Some audiences search in Roman Urdu, some in English, and many B2B buyers abroad only in English.
Does this work for regulated sectors?
It does, with extra care. We plan topics that educate and inform without making claims a regulator or platform may reject, and we flag pages that need legal or clinical review. See advertising compliance for regulated industries for the related service.
How soon will rankings improve?
Nobody can honestly give a date. New pages need indexing, links and time, and competition varies by sector. We set expectations after seeing your site and market, and we report leading indicators monthly.
