How buyers search

Buyers search in English and Arabic, compare on Google and Instagram, then message on WhatsApp before calling.

Best first channel

Google Ads and local SEO for property, healthcare, events and services, then a faster site.

Rules to know

Licensing, sector advertising rules and data privacy vary by activity; confirm with a Qatar adviser.

What to measure

Qualified enquiries, WhatsApp conversations started, booked viewings or visits, cost per qualified lead.

Time zone

Qatar is UTC+3, Pakistan UTC+5, so Lahore is two hours ahead all year. Qatar works Sunday to Thursday.

Districts of Doha and beyond, and the work each one asks for

Search behaviour in Qatar is very local. People type a district, a tower name or a mall next to the service, so the page and the ad should speak that way. These are the areas we plan around and the sectors that cluster there.

West Bay and the Corniche

Towers, hotels, embassies, the Qatar Financial Centre and the convention centre sit here. Consultancies, law and accounting firms, and hospitality brands need B2B search pages and LinkedIn-style lead capture.

Lusail

A newer planned city with residential towers, marina areas and retail. Developers and agents here need project landing pages, viewing-booking forms and property ads in Arabic and English.

The Pearl-Qatar

Waterfront homes, restaurants and boutiques. Dining, beauty, wellness and fashion brands do well with Instagram ads and Google Business Profile discipline.

Msheireb and Souq Waqif

Heritage retail, galleries, cafes and tourism offers. Visitor-facing sites and events listings matter more here than long B2B funnels.

Al Sadd, the C Ring Road and the Industrial Area

Clinics, car services, spare parts, trading and wholesale. Local SEO, click-to-call ads and WhatsApp ordering are the usual first moves.

Education City, Al Wakra and Ras Laffan

Universities and research, southern residential growth, and energy supply chains. Think course enquiry sites, school marketing and supplier portals.

Typical Qatar briefs and where they land with us

Most enquiries from Doha start as a plain sentence about a problem. Here is how we translate those sentences into scoped work.

What the owner says
What it usually means
Where we start
“I need more viewings”
Property leads from search and social that actually answer the phone
Google Ads management plus a fast project page
“Our website looks old”
Slow, English-only, no WhatsApp button, weak on mobile
“We sell through Instagram only”
Orders live in DMs with no store, no tracking, no repeat customers
A Shopify or WooCommerce store with Meta tracking
“We need a system for the team”
Spreadsheets for jobs, stock or staff leave have stopped scaling
Custom software, often a CRM or booking tool
“Nobody finds us on Google”
Thin local pages, missing profile data, no Arabic keyword work
SEO with Arabic and English research

Arabic, English and the expatriate customer

Qatar has a large expatriate population alongside Qatari nationals, so one business often serves several audiences with different languages.

A clinic in Al Sadd may need English pages for professionals who relocated for work and Arabic pages for families who prefer to read in Arabic.

We build both versions as real pages with their own keyword research, not a machine-translated copy.

We do not have Arabic-speaking staff to claim as a native review layer, so Arabic copy passes through a native reviewer before it goes live. That step is part of the scope, and we say so in the proposal.

Right-to-left layouts, Arabic fonts, mixed number formats and mirrored forms are handled in the build.
Search phrasing also differs by audience.

An English-speaking resident might type “dentist near West Bay”, while an Arabic query uses another word order and often a district name.

We check both in Search Console after launch and adjust pages to what people actually typed.

Launch path for a property, events or hospitality project

These sectors in Doha run on timing. A campaign tied to a project release, a trade show or a festival period has a hard date, so we work backwards from it.

  1. Brief and date mapWe list the launch date, the audience languages, the site or landing pages that exist and the lead handling process. You get a one-page plan with owners.
  2. Tracking before spendGA4 events, call and WhatsApp click tracking, Meta pixel and Conversions API where it fits, and Search Console are set up and tested first.
  3. Landing pages and creativeBilingual pages built for mobile, with a booking or enquiry form and a WhatsApp button, plus ad creative for Google and Instagram.
  4. Controlled launchCampaigns start with tight audiences and search terms around your districts and services, then widen as lead quality becomes clear.
  5. Weekly lead reviewWe compare leads that arrived against leads your team could close, and move budget to what produces conversations, not clicks.

Paperwork and policy points to settle before ads run

We do not give legal or tax advice. These are the questions we ask so your adviser can answer them early, and so we do not build something that has to be pulled.

  • Commercial registration and licence scopeYour registered activity should match what the site and ads claim. Confirm the wording with your adviser.
  • Sector advertising rulesHealthcare, financial services, education and real estate usually face extra rules or approvals. Check current requirements before creative is written.
  • Data privacyQatar has a personal data privacy law. Forms, tracking and any customer database should be reviewed with a local adviser.
  • Platform policiesGoogle and Meta have their own category rules and ad review steps. We read the current policy per campaign, since it changes.
  • Religious and national datesRamadan, the two Eids and Qatar National Day shift both tone and spend. Content is reviewed for these periods.
  • Who owns accountsAd accounts, analytics and the domain should sit in your name, with us as added users.

A two-hour gap and a Sunday-to-Thursday week

Qatar uses UTC+3 all year and Pakistan uses UTC+5 with no clock changes, so Lahore is two hours ahead of Doha throughout the year.

A 10:00 call in Doha is noon in Lahore.

Qatar's working week runs Sunday to Thursday, and ours is Monday to Friday, which leaves four shared working days.
We schedule calls in that overlap and keep a written weekly update so Sunday and Friday gaps do not hold up decisions.
Most contact runs on WhatsApp and email, with video calls for kickoff and monthly reviews.

If your team prefers a phone call to a mobile number in Qatar, we can set that up.

We do not keep a local office or legal entity in Qatar and do not make site visits unless we arrange them with you in advance.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you get in touch.

Can you build SEO and ads for a company with only an Arabic audience in Qatar?

Yes, with a native reviewer on the copy. We research Arabic queries separately, write ad text in Arabic, and build the site right-to-left. The reviewer is a named step in the proposal so you know who signs off the final wording.

We are in Lusail. Do we need a different strategy from a West Bay firm?

Usually yes. Lusail searches skew toward property, new retail and residential services, while West Bay skews toward B2B, finance and corporate hospitality. The pages, keywords and creative follow that split.

Is Instagram or Google better for a Doha restaurant or salon?

Both work, in different jobs. Google Business Profile and search ads catch people who already want a table or an appointment. Instagram builds the preference before that search. Start with the profile and local search, then add Meta Ads.

How do you handle the Sunday start of the Qatar week?

Sunday is a normal working day in Doha but a day off in Lahore, so questions raised on a Sunday are answered on Monday. We agree urgent contacts in advance and avoid launches on a Thursday afternoon.

Can you build an app or internal system for a Qatari company?

Yes. We build web apps, mobile apps, CRM and booking tools, usually in Laravel or similar stacks. Scope depends on integrations, user roles and languages. Our app development page explains the process.

Do you hold a Qatar commercial registration?

No. We are a Pakistan-based team and contract from Lahore, invoicing in US dollars. If your procurement process requires a locally registered supplier, tell us at the start so we can say honestly whether we fit.

What would you measure first for a real estate or events client?

Qualified enquiries, WhatsApp conversations that reach a human, and viewings or ticket sales that follow. Clicks and impressions are tracked but not treated as the goal. Our real estate marketing page shows the funnel.
