A small market, three languages and one extra delivery team in Lahore

Latvian companies that outsource to Pakistan use our team to add capacity for SEO, paid campaigns, websites and custom software without hiring another full-time employee in Riga. We work across Latvian, Russian and English audiences, with a native reviewer on every public-facing text.

  • Only two to three hours behind Pakistan, so most of your day overlaps with ours
  • Latvian, Russian and English content planned as separate audiences
  • Code, accounts and analytics registered to your SIA

Market snapshot
How buyers search

Latvians compare on Google and local portals like ss.lv; many households search in Latvian, others in Russian

Best first channel

Search and Google Ads for local services; SEO and outbound for companies selling to the Nordics and wider EU

Rules to know

GDPR consent, cookie notices and e-invoicing practice; confirm everything with your accountant or lawyer

What to measure

Qualified enquiries by language version, cost per lead, and export-market orders

Time zone

Pakistan is three hours ahead of Latvia in winter and two hours ahead in summer

The Latvian equation: little market, big ambitions

Latvia has roughly two million people, which changes the maths of digital marketing. A Latvian-only campaign hits a ceiling quickly, so the strongest companies look outward: to Lithuania and Estonia, to the Nordics, to Germany and the wider EU.

Read the full explanation

That is the situation where a lean remote team makes sense, because one budget has to cover several markets and languages at once.

The flip side is that your local audience is very reachable. A well-built page in Latvian for Riga searches can rank with less competition than the same page in Berlin or Stockholm. We help you decide which markets to enter with search and which to reach through paid campaigns, and we say honestly when a market is too small to justify its own site.

Riga districts and the other Latvian cities

The places below show up in briefs and shape which sectors we think about first. Each pairing is a starting hypothesis, not a promise about your market.

Riga city centre and Skanstes

Offices, banks, consultancies and software teams cluster around Skanstes and the business centres of the centre. Our financial services marketing guidance applies to fintech and advisory firms here.

Riga Old Town and Čaka iela

Hospitality, boutique retail and event venues. Reviews, bilingual menus and direct-booking pages carry more weight than banner ads.

Riga Free Port and logistics belts

Freight forwarders, warehousing and transit trade. B2B leads come from RFQ pages and LinkedIn, handled through logistics marketing.

Jūrmala

Spa hotels, wellness and seasonal tourism. Summer demand, Russian and English speaking visitors, and listings on map and booking platforms matter.

Liepāja and Ventspils

Port services, manufacturing and energy suppliers on the coast. Technical product content and tender-style credentials work well.

Daugavpils, Jelgava and Valmiera

Industrial, food and agricultural firms outside Riga. Smaller local search volumes, so export reach and direct sales channels become important.

Latvian, Russian and English audiences compared

Treating them as one audience is the most common planning mistake.

Audience
Typical need
How we handle it
Latvian-speaking consumers and firms
Local services, public-facing brands, state-language expectations
Primary site language, native-reviewed copy, Latvian-first ads
Russian-speaking residents
Everyday services, retail, tourism, accountancy

English-speaking buyers and visitors
Tech, expats, B2B partners, tourists
Simple English version with clear contact paths and structured data
Nordic or German export customers
Industrial supply, software, packaging
Dedicated language pages and international SEO structure
Diaspora and cross-border shoppers
Parcel delivery and returns
Shipping clarity, currency and customer support hours

Preparation that makes an exporting Latvian firm easier to market

Before we plan campaigns, these basics save weeks.

  • A single source of product dataNames, specifications and images in one place so catalogues in several languages stay consistent.
  • First foreign marketChoose one target country first, such as Sweden or Germany, instead of ten. See our Sweden page for how those buyers behave.
  • Local-language review partnersIf your team speaks Latvian but not Swedish or Finnish, line up a native reviewer, and we will brief them.
  • Cookie and consent setupGDPR applies across the EU. Your adviser decides policy; we configure tags and consent mode to match.
  • E-invoice and VAT understandingKnow how your accountant treats an invoice from a non-EU supplier before the first payment.
  • Named decision-makerOne person who can approve copy and budgets quickly keeps launches moving.

A working rhythm that uses the shared hours

With only two or three hours separating Riga and Lahore, we can work close to live.

  1. Kickoff callShort call in your morning, covering markets, languages and what has not worked before.
  2. Audit weekSearch Console, GA4 and CMS access, a written findings list and agreed priorities.
  3. Language and market planWhich pages exist in which language, and which ads or outreach to run first.
  4. Build or campaign sprintFortnightly delivery cycles with a shared task board and a written summary each Friday.
  5. Quarterly reviewDecide which markets to deepen, pause or add.

Cases where a Riga agency is the better choice

We are not the right answer for every Latvian company.

If your campaigns depend on in-person events in Riga, on press relationships or on native Latvian copywriting at scale, a local agency or freelancer will often serve you better, and we can complement them with the technical side.

We have no Latvian entity and no office, and projects for businesses in Latvia are scoped individually, with no claim of past clients there.

What we do well is the repeatable, measurable work: tracking, site builds, search engine optimisation, Google Ads management and custom software development.

For wider context, read the guide to outsourcing to Pakistan, the Europe overview and the Finland page, or explore the global clients hub.

Midsummer, Christmas and the Latvian calendar

Latvia nearly shuts down around Līgo and Jāņi, the Midsummer holidays at the end of June, and again between Christmas and the New Year.

Independence days in May and November produce patriotic seasonal campaigns for retail and hospitality.

Schedule launches and approvals away from those weeks, and plan summer tourism content in spring.

Pakistani holidays also affect delivery, notably Eid, which moves each year.

We share a calendar early so that neither side is caught out.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you get in touch.

Can you work in Latvian?

Our team can plan and structure Latvian content, but we do not claim native Latvian. A native reviewer edits every public-facing text. For legal or regulated wording, your own lawyer should have final say.

Should my Latvian site also have a Russian version?

Often yes, if a meaningful share of your customers searches in Russian, for example in Riga or Daugavpils. It should be written for Latvian users, with local addresses, prices and legal details, and tracked separately so you can see whether it earns its cost. A half-translated site with missing pages is worse than no second language.

How much does the time difference matter?

Very little. Latvia is two hours behind Pakistan in summer and three in winter, so we can hold calls in your morning and still deliver the same day.

We sell to Sweden and Germany from Riga. Can you help?

Yes. We build the multilingual structure, local landing pages and campaigns, and work with native reviewers for copy. International SEO is usually the first step.

Do you develop custom software for Latvian start-ups?

Yes, from MVPs to internal tools. We typically use Laravel and modern JavaScript, with code in your repository, and describe the approach under Laravel development.

How do invoices and payments work?

We invoice in US dollars. Your accountant should confirm the treatment of a non-EU supplier and any reverse-charge or documentation requirements before the first payment.

Are you cheaper than a Riga agency?

Often our rates are lower because our costs are, but we do not publish prices here and the cheapest quote is rarely the best. Compare scope, named people and reporting rather than hourly rates alone. Ask each vendor to describe what happens in month three, when the first excitement has passed and the real work is steady maintenance and testing.
