Belgium outsource to Pakistan, with Dutch, French and English handled as separate markets

Belgian companies that outsource to Pakistan with us get a Lahore team for SEO, paid ads, websites and software, structured around Belgium's language split between Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels. It suits SMEs, exporters and service firms that sell in more than one language.

  • Separate keyword research and URLs for nl-BE and fr-BE, with hreflang set correctly
  • Campaigns and landing pages built per language region, not machine-translated
  • Calls placed in the Belgian morning, Pakistan's afternoon

Market snapshot
How buyers search

Flemish buyers search in Dutch, Walloon buyers in French, Brussels in both plus English: “SEO bureau Gent”, “agence web Liège”

Best first channel

Search ads and local SEO per language region, with Meta Ads for consumer offers

Rules to know

Language-neutral legal pages are not enough; confirm notices, cookies and VAT display with your adviser

What to measure

Leads and sales by language and region, calls from the right postcode areas, cost per qualified request

Time zone

Pakistan is 4 hours ahead in winter and 3 hours ahead in summer

Language matrix: one country, several search markets

The single most common Belgian mistake is publishing one site in one language and hoping everyone else copes. This is the starting grid we work from.

Region
Main language
What changes in marketing
Flanders (Antwerp, Ghent, Leuven, Bruges)
Dutch (Flemish usage)
nl-BE content, Dutch-language keyword research, Bol.com and 2dehands shopping habits
Wallonia (Liège, Namur, Charleroi)
French
fr-BE phrasing, local French search terms, 2ememain and Bancontact familiarity
Brussels-Capital Region
French and Dutch, plus English
Bilingual pages, international audience, EU-related B2B
Eastern cantons
German
Small audience; add only when the business case is clear
Cross-border buyers
Dutch Netherlands, French France
Decide if you want them; pricing, delivery and VAT rules differ

Cities and business districts, matched to the work they need

We name places only where the sector link is solid. Treat these as angles for your own campaign design.

Brussels, Avenue Louise and the European Quarter

Consultancies, law firms, lobbying groups, associations and NGOs. Content is English plus French or Dutch, and credibility matters more than volume. See nonprofit and NGO marketing.

Antwerp

Port and logistics, diamonds, fashion and chemicals. Needs B2B lead generation, export catalogues and Dutch-language local search around Antwerpen.

Ghent

Technology, biotech spin-offs, creative agencies and university-linked startups. Product-led SEO and English plus Dutch documentation.

Leuven

Life sciences and research companies. Technical sites with multilingual publication lists and recruitment content.

Liège and Charleroi

Logistics around the airports, manufacturing and health services. French-language local SEO, lead forms and WhatsApp-style quick contact options.

Bruges and the coast

Hotels, restaurants and attractions with seasonal demand. Pair with travel and tour marketing and review management.

Running three languages without tripling the workload

Language strategy comes before design.

For a Belgian company we ask three questions in the first call: which regions pay your bills today, which do you want to enter, and who in your team can approve text in each language.

Many firms discover that most of their orders come from one region, and in that case we start there and add the others in order.
Technically, each language gets its own URLs, a correct hreflang set, localised titles and its own structured data.

Google Business Profile entries differ by location and language too.

If you run a WordPress site, we choose a multilingual approach that your team can maintain, rather than a plugin that breaks when it updates.

For content, we start with search research in each language, then prepare drafts that a native reviewer edits.

We do not claim Dutch or French speakers on our payroll.

The reviewer step adds time, and we show it on the plan so launch dates are honest.

Our SEO content strategy and writing service explains how briefs and reviews move through the process.

Belgian specifics worth checking before you commission anything

None of this is legal advice. It is the list of topics we raise so your adviser can answer them.

  • Company formBV, NV or sole proprietor details shown correctly in the footer, together with the enterprise number and VAT number.
  • VAT displayHow BTW or TVA appears for business and consumer buyers and for cross-border orders.
  • Consent and privacyA cookie banner that blocks tags until consent, plus a privacy notice in each language you publish.
  • Payment methodsBancontact and Payconiq are widely recognised in Belgium; cards, iDEAL for Dutch visitors and Klarna are options. Confirm with your PSP.
  • Delivery and returnsWho delivers in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels, and how returns are explained in each language.
  • Seasonal peaksSinterklaas around 6 December, Black Friday, the holiday weeks and the national day on 21 July.
  • Official sale periodsBelgium regulates sale periods; check the current calendar before planning promotions.

A phased rollout for multilingual Belgian sites

We avoid launching three languages at once, because the first one teaches you things the other two should benefit from.

  1. Audit and market choiceReview current traffic, orders and enquiries by region, then pick the lead language.
  2. Structure and keywordsDefine URL structure, hreflang plan and search terms in the lead language, with a native review.
  3. Build and launchContent, technical set-up and tracking go live together, so results can be attributed from day one.
  4. Second-language releaseTranslate and localise what performs, not every page. Adjust products, shipping text and legal pages.
  5. Ads and local profilesSearch campaigns per language region, Google Business Profiles for each location, Meta Ads where consumer demand fits.
  6. Quarterly reviewCompare regions, retire weak pages, expand where the numbers justify it.

Working across the time gap and the border

Pakistan is UTC+5 all year.

Belgium follows UTC+1 in winter and UTC+2 in summer, so Lahore is 4 hours ahead from late October to late March and 3 hours ahead during summer time.

Belgian mornings are our afternoons, and that is the window for calls with your team and the contact person for each language.
We have no Belgian office, we do not visit on site unless arranged, and we do not give legal or tax advice.

Belgian projects are scoped individually.

If your firm also sells to the Netherlands or France, see how we treat those markets on the Dutch and French pages, or read the European overview.

To start a conversation about lead flow, visit lead generation services or the contact page, and for the general argument see why businesses choose Pakistan.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you get in touch.

Do I need separate websites for Flanders and Wallonia?

Not necessarily. One domain with language folders can work well if the structure and hreflang are right. Separate domains make sense when the brands, offers or teams differ. We recommend after looking at your products, staff and budget.

How do you handle Dutch and French content quality?

We research search terms in each language, draft the content and send it to a native reviewer before publishing. For legal, medical or technical pages, your own subject expert gives the final sign-off.

Is a Pakistan-based agency suitable for a Brussels association or consultancy?

For web, content and analytics work, yes. Relationship-heavy work such as lobbying or local events needs people on the ground, and we are open about that boundary. The remote part, the website and lead systems behind it, is a good fit.

Can you work with Belgian payment providers?

We integrate the provider you select with your shop and test the path to the order confirmation. The merchant account and approvals are handled between you and the provider.

What does a first project usually look like?

Most Belgian firms start with an audit and a single-language improvement project, often a service page overhaul with proper tracking. Once that reports clearly, we add a second language or an ad campaign.

How do you handle invoicing for a Belgian company?

We invoice in USD from Pakistan. Your accountant decides how cross-border services are treated for VAT. We give you the details they ask for, such as a clear service description and the invoice date.
